Help save San Mateo High School, a venerable treasure that is threatened by 4 myopic school
board members. News Flash:
Even though the EIR amply demonstrates the truth behind Save
San Mateo High School's claims and shows that the best alternative is retrofitting, rather than
demolition, and the courts have ruled that the bond money cannot be used for demolition, the
myopic school board still voted to tear the building down.

While the school board seems to think that San Mateo High School will qualify for state emergency
funds while other much poorer districts suffer with real problems, this will still not rectify the loss of
a historic monument and anchor to our past as San Mateans.

A better solution would be for the school board to build a new school in Foster City. I would
support a bond fund for that.

I will vehemently oppose a bond fund to tear this school down. If such a bond is placed on the ballot,
I will immediately mount an intense campaign to discourage anyone I know from voting for it. I
voted in favor of the bond fund that would repair this school. I have always voted in favor of
schools and libraries and other projects, so this will be the first time I have ever opposed such a
measure and it should be taken as a warning sign to the school board that if a knee-jerk "yes" voter
such as myself would oppose a school bond fund, then maybe they should reevaluate their priorities.

The Beresford Neighborhood Association has stepped forward with an agenda to save the racetrack
and to preserve Verona Ridge. The public comment period for Verona Ridge is currently open, but
will close soon. So, please write a letter opposed to development of this last space of open land in
San Mateo. Stay tuned for this website's help on this, but for now, for more information, please
email Stacy Litvak
or call Mike Germano at 650-345-0280

Tp help save the racetrack, please write a letter to the San Mateo Land Use/Transportation CAC
and contact your local neighborhood or homeowner's association.

The main library plan has been accepted by the San Mateo City Council, with the caveat that the
exterior still needs public comments. The public comment period is now over, but the legal battles
have only begun, since the Bank of America doesn't want it's property condemned. Stay tuned.

If you think a more modestly-sized library is better or you still have views on the exterior or
overall design, send a letter to the editor of one of the newspapers listed above.

For pet health, please click on My Vet. Site still under construction.

This site is intended as a basis for a new veterinary website. I will start off with having an
"Ask the Vet" page and am beginning to put together a page for First Aid for pet owners
and At Home Health Care. This advice is intended to complement and not replace proper

veterinary care. I am located on the San Francisco Peninsula in California, so these pages
will be directed toward pet care in this area.

Sincerest condolences to Minna's family and friends - the hours spent by hundreds of volunteers did not go for
naught. The outpouring of effort helped strengthen the community and draw us all closer together. By these efforts,
we all got to know Minna.Go to Minna Sandmeyer's website.

This is my first attempts at creating clip art and other artwork using Photoshop. It may be a
while before anything cool gets created. Feel free to use any clip art you like from this site,
but I would appreciate a trade inkind(fonts, other clip art, pictures) of your own creation.
Please acknowledge my name and site url for any clip art used.
